YCFC u11s marching on to Elland Road -upcoming on 18th May 2024
We cannot thank Raffle Time Competitions enough for their donation of £840 to enable the kids to ‘march on together’ to Elland Road.
As a local grassroots football club YC is made up of boys and girls from 7-14 playing football within the surrounding area. Like most grassroots teams the club is ran on a non profit minimum subscription basis so that all who want to play can. The subs cover pitch hire and training facilities plus the basics like footballs, equipment, club registrations and basic qualifications for the parents who coach the kids. Throughout the year the club relies on fundraisers, donations and sponsors to be able to offer the kids footballing experience beyond the reach of basic subs.
This year with the very kind donation from Raffle Time Competitions the U11s have been able to enter into a national competition which will be played at Leeds United home ground Elland Road, the kids will experience what it feels like to be a world class football player, go behind the scenes and look in the changing rooms, run out through the tunnel onto the actual pitch and play on the pitch where normally only the best players in the world get to play. It really will be a dream come true for all of them and a memory that they will have forever! And to have this experience sole funded by Raffle Time Competitions is amazing!
Many thanks Matt, Drew and YCFC u11s.
YCFC has been a grassroots youth football club for several years now, 2 seasons ago it became parent lead with the help of parents, grandparents, relatives and careers of the children who play for the club. From this point the club has grown to 10 youth teams from U7s to u13s and now a girls only team aswell. All the children in the club come from the surrounding area and villages of Scarborough.
The club is ran on a minimum subs non profit basis to enable any child the opportunity to play entry level football but the club also aims to deliver the highest possible level of coaching, games and facilities and we pride ourselves on creating a football family for all that wish to join.
Each year as the club grows in size we need more kit, goals, balls and equipment, we are now in much need of a storage facility which will also provide a changing area for the teams as the club will soon have over 100 children signed up.
For as big as football is football in Scarborough and the surrounding area is on the decline, it’s very important clubs like YCFC can continue to offer local children the opportunity to play, learn and make friends and also fill there lungs with fresh air!
The support given by local business’s such as Raffle Time Competitions is vital in keeping clubs like this going. Their help is much needed and appreciated.

With your help, we hope to raise £3000 to contribute towards the cost of the much needed changing faculties, storage and equipment.
We are hoping for this to be real community effort spreading far and beyond and to make this achievable, we would really appreciate it if everyone could spread the word, get as many people involved as possible, including all friends and family.
We would like to thank everyone in advance for helping and taking part and good luck in winning the £250 JD voucher.
